Bronze, green patinated. Two-part. Base monogrammed 'ST'. Head: h. 7,5 cm, base: h. 7 cm. - Provenance: Formerly collection Fritz van Ankum/Imme Reich-van Ankum, owner of Galería Arabal, Alicante. - German painter and sculptor, raised in Ruhpolding and Munich, von Reiswitz lived and worked in Málaga for decades. Inspired by North African and South European imagery, he created a diverse oeuvre of imaginative sculptures with fancy quotations from the world of antiquity alongside his work as a painter. Málaga commissioned him to design a large public park with his figures. Renowned galleries in Salzburg, Munich, Madrid, among others, as well as museums at home and abroad exhibited his work.
