Rodewald, matted and framed under glass, uninspected out of frame. - Provenance: From the estate of Charlotte Thiede, the artist's wife; thence by descent. - German Painter and graphic artist. R. studied at the Hamburg applied arts school under C. O. Czeschka and in 1921 joined the Hamburg secession. he made study trips through Switzerland, France, Italy and to the Middle East, 1929-31 he lived in Tunisia.
