Oil/wood, 32,5 x 40 cm, lo. le. sign. J. Heusch f., on the reverse unidentified seal. - Dutch landscape painter. H. was pupil of his uncle Willem de Heusch. By 1675 he was in Rome where he joined the Dutch artist's colony of the 'Bentveughels'. He is supposed to have worked in Berlin; thereafter he settled in Utrecht.
