Probably 2nd half 18th cent., oil/canvas/fibre board, 89,5 x 70 cm. - A mirror-inverted copy of a painting by Nicolas Lancret in the Wallace Collection, London. - French painter. L. was taught painting in the studios of P. Dulin and C. Gillot. In 1719 he became member of the Paris academy. Besides Watteau he is one of the main expontens of gallant Rococo painting.
