Oil/cardboard/fibre board, 40 x 30,5 cm, lo. le. artist's signet, dat. 1900 and titled (La?) Blonde Malin, lo. le. titled again. - French painter. G.-M. was editor of the periodical Phare Litéraire et Artistique through which he came in contact with Toulouse-Lautrec and Verlaine. Later he also draught for Charivari and Cri de Paris. Since 1902 he exhibited at the Paris Salon, in 1912 he moved to Marseille. Lit.: Bénézit.
