Ca. 1700, oil/canvas, 73,5 x 98 cm, min. rest., relined. - Carved frame of the late 18th cent. - Expertise: Claudia Salvi, Paris 8.1.2018, with confirmation of authenticity. - Still life painter of Hungarian origin. He worked in Vienna, since 1688 in London where he became the foremost still life painter. No later than 1694 he was patronised by queen Mary II, but he also worked for the royal Dutch court and noble collectors all over Europe.
