Oil/wood, 40 x 51,5 cm, some rest. - Expertise: Ernst-Heinrich Zimmermann, head of the paintings department of the Kaiser-Friedrich-Museum Berlin, 28.2.1948. - Utrecht horse a. landscape painter, brother of the painter Maerten Stoop. Probably he travelled Italy in the 1630s. By the early 1660s he was painter to the court in Portugal but also worked in London.
