Skarbina Paris, on the reverse on label of the Kunstsalon Paul Cassirer titled 'Abendscene in Paris', fragment of a label of the Groß Berliner Kunstausstellung as well as of the Dom-Galerie Köln. - Exhibition: The painting was exhibited in the Kunstsalon Paul Cassirer, 1st April to early May 1903 together with works of Monet, Degas a. Manet; Große Berliner Kunstausstellung. - Impressionist painter, influenced by the style of Menzel. S. studied at the Berlin academy under J. Schrader. He was member of the Gruppe der XI, of the Berlin secession a. the senat of the Berlin academy. He mainly depicted scenes of urban street life but also large-size historical paintings.
