Moucheron fecit, some rest., relined. - Dutch landscape painter, son a. pupil of Frédéric Moucheron. 1694-97 M. lived in Rome where he joined the Dutch artist's group 'Bentveughels'. Like his father he painted landscape in the italianate style but with more emphasis on the architecture. He received commissions to paint many Amsterdam mansions.
