The artist studied at the Düsseldorf academy as well as in Paris under L. Simon. He was member of the Berlin secession, of the Freie Sezession as well as of the Deutscher Künstlerbund. He exhibited among others at Flechtheim a. Cassirer a. taught at the Staatliche Kunstschule Belrin. G. is inventor of the gelatine lithograph.
