Hamburg, 1738-49. Silver, stamped with Hamburg city mark with W for Gerhardt Daviedt Hornbostell (assay master 1738 to 1749) and MM.: 'HHK' in a trefoil cartouche, ebonised wooden handle. On ground with old point engravings 'Johan Peter Genz d. 26 Decb 1791'. (Comp. Schliemann, Die Goldschmiede Hamburgs, vol.
