Sino-Tibetan, 18th/19th cent. (Qing Dynasty 1644-1911). Gilt and partly brown patinated bronze. The buddha of the Pure Land sitting in vajrasana on a double lotus throne. His whole body opulently adorned with precious jewels. He is wearing a bejewelled dhoti around his hips, a long shawl flowing down his shoulders.The hair is tied to a high chignon, partly consealed by a crown. Base sealed. H. 16,5 cm.
