China, Republic Period (1912-1949). Ceramic with light body and polychrome painting. Each side with cartouche, four of them showing flowers and birds or insects, two with calligraphy. Three-characters artist's mark 'Chen Yiting' (程意亭). H. 17,5 cm. - Cheng Yiting (1895-1948) was part of the 'Eight Friends of Zhushan', an artists group featuring the best porcelain painters of the Republic.
