Meissen, around 1900. Tenderly polychrome painted figure of a putto crowned by sunrays as an allegory of dawning day. In his right hand a small torch as an attribute. Crossed swords mark and inc. 'L 134 a'. Rest. H. 52 cm. - Lit.: Bergmann, Meissener Künstler-Figuren, Erlangen, 2010, p. 80, nr. 144.- German sculptor, studied at the Kunstgewerbeschule in Nuremberg, teached there 1875-1907.
