Meissen, around 1725. Decorated by the workshop of J.G. Höroldt (Jena 1696 - Meißen 1775). The cover finely painted with a Chinese sitting next to a steaming tea kettle and his servant in a large cartouche in gold, iron, red and purple. The box shows Chinoiseries, set on strips of green ground. Crossed swords mark, gold '28.' on box and cover.
