Oil/cardboard, 20 x 30 cm, lo. le. monogr. RB. - German landscape a. still life painter. B. was pupil of H. Nauen before studying at the Munich academy under W. von Diez since 1888. Together with M. Slevogt he travelled Italy in 1890. Two years later B. worked in the studio of W. Trübner. In 1901 he moved to Berlin, in 1914 he became teacher at the Stuttgart academy.
