Around 1903/06. Weave, 132 x 56 cm, lo. le. monogr. EV, lo. ri. sign. of the Krainische Kunstwebeanstalt, fringes at the lower margin missing. - In 1903/04 Ernst Vollbehr became head of the Krainische Kunstwebeanstalt in Lubljana which was founded as a daughter company of the Scherrebek manufacture. The wood grouse motif was yet unknown. - German painter, graphic artist a. designer, was trained as stage designer in Schwerin, since 1897 he continued his studies at the drawing school of the Berlin art museum as well as in Dresden, Rome, Paris a.
