China, around 1900 (Xuantong-period 1909-1911). Porcelain with polychrome painting. Globular body with tall elegant neck. Neck and wall with a fine decoration of flying bats among Shou-characters and peaches as a symbol of longevity. The shoulder with a sumptuous foliage border with flowers and additional Shou-characters. Six-character Xuantong-mark. H. 40,5 cm. - These type of vases were used as high-ranked gifts and representation pieces since the Guanxu-period.
