Japan, 19th cent. (Meiji-period 1868-1912). Porcelain with polychrome painting, party with gold decoration. In the centre a large reserve framed by a border with flaming pearls. Inside a three-part flower ornament with foliage. The rim divided into 12 sections, each one with a round reserve depicting the zodiacs of the Chinese horoscope. Verso at the rim foliage-garland with chrysanthemum-flowers. Six-character manufactory mark. The rim with fine fissure. Diam. 51,5 cm.
