Meissen, mid of 18th cent. Design c. 1730. Rim painted with two dragens and symbols in iron red and gold. Centre decorated with alike painted pair of fighting Hoo-birds. King August the strong ordered this service for his court, this pattern of red and gold painted dragon was reserved for the saxonian royal family until 1918. Crossed swords in the unglazed underside. L. 44,5 cm.
